Yesterday I made my debut at church, announcing that our family is growing, again! Katri and I were both pleased with our matching dresses. Hers is a new, and more 'big girl' pattern, and mine very definitely maternity.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Mennonites and all their traditions, it is commonly expected [though not ALWAYS followed!] that pregnancy is kept for the most part a secret until around 3 months. Of course you always tell your Mom, family, closest friends, etc. But it can be kind of fun to see who all you can keep from figuring it out! :) Then one Sunday morning you appear in church wearing maternity clothes, and enjoy all the attention you get afterwards.
Of course, people aren't stupid, and while I got lots of 'congratulations' yesterday, I also heard some 'well, it is about time!' too.
Oh well, so much for the big secret! :)
We are very excited about having a baby in the house again! Benji said the other day, 'I almost can't wait till the baby comes.' October is still a long ways off Sonny boy!
Katri adores babies, and several folks have told me that she needs a baby brother/sister. So even though she doesn't understand yet, I have no doubt that she'll be wildly excited whenever she does!
I'd like to post some pics of Katri & I in our new dresses, but I forgot to take some yesterday! Maybe soon I can get them. In the meantime, here's a couple of shots of my other baby peaches.

Congratulations, David and Rachel!! Praising the Lord with you. :-)
Best wishes!
Congratulations!! We must be the exception to the rule in our church. Most people let it out before wearing the maternity clothes. But then, I put off wearing maternity clothes as long as I can, usually until 4 months or so. :-) I hope everything goes well for you!
