Peanut Butter & Jelly

Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches are best made on bread shaped like flowers . . .

. . . Eaten with friends . . .

. . . while making a funny face.

(Please excuse the strange dress code. This snack was eaten after baths & before getting dressed up for a church event. My standard quick fix for those in-between times is big and floppy tee-shirts, easy to put on & reasonably modest.)

Our Life - At The Moment

These days, Josiah and I have both developed a real fondness for little bottles & tubes that bear the words 'Pain Relief'. Little white tablets, pink stuff to rub on, purple stuff to swallow . . . anything to help unbearably grouchy little people to cope with the miseries of life.

There he is, in all his runny-nosed and feverish glory, screwed up face to boot! But the reason I'm posting this picture is because if you look closely, there's a funny spot on his gums . . . his first tooth! Hooray!

Tooth #2 seems to be coming right along, so there hasn't been much relief in the attitude department, but I'm not going to complain about making a little bit of progress!

And we're still smiling, sometimes. After the tylenol has taken effect!

Josiah - 8 Months

Josiah is growing leaps and bounds these days, and flying through the milestones just as fast as he can figure them out! At the moment, he crawls everywhere, and pulls up on everything. Anything that can go in his mouth, does go in his mouth, edible or not. He has started on solid foods with great gusto, and is doing his level best to keep up with his older siblings. That is no easy task, but Jojo is no quitter.

Note; Josiah is now officially in the middle of everything, he considers himself to be a part of the crew, and since he's been accepted by the others, I guess it must be so.

We love beans for breakfast, and in our eyes, ears, hair, on our arms and legs, plus carefully smeared everywhere we can reach on the highchair . . .

Playing outside while Mama works in the garden is lots of fun!

'Helping' Daddy bale hay! Josiah gets extremely excited when he see's Daddy on the 4-wheeler or tractor, and if he doesn't get a ride, he's sure to let the whole world know that his heart has been broken!

Happy Birthday Lulu!

On June 7, 2007 our family was delighted to welcome a little 6 lb. 6 oz girlie into our family.

Time flies when you're having fun! Last Monday, Rebecca Katriel, also known as Katri, Lulu, Lulu-Belle, Fanny Frufru . . . and a few other names, celebrated her third birthday. I think the day was a big success in her opinion, and she is tickled pink to be catching up to her big brother!

Katri wanted a fish cake, so that's what I made for her. It certainly wouldn't have won any prizes, but she loved it, so I was happy!


I think Benji is getting to be a pretty good photographer, don't you?

Rain Dance

We had a beautiful rain storm come through on Saturday afternoon, it was warm, and full of big drops! There was no lightening or thunder either. In other words, just exactly the kind of rain that Benji loves!

New Blog

Great news! Since I'm constantly posting on this blog, and keeping all of my friends completely overwhelmed (ahem!) I've decided to start another blog!

I'm serious! Well, kind of.

Actually, the new blog is about our farm. So it's mostly going to be about David and what he's doing, along with pictures. I'd like to think that eventually we'll have some products to sell, and it would be nice to have a blog up and running to add to our advertising scheme. Plus, I know that a lot of David's family would love to see what all he's up to, and maybe even some of my friends will too!

I personally find his farming to be fascinating, and educational. I don't think it's just because I'm prejudiced. I have always been geared more towards growing things (leafy and furry), so I guess David and I do have a lot of similar interests.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd post with a link, so you all can join me over there too, if you feel so inclined! :)
